3 Hypoallergenic Weight Loss Foods You Should Be Eating Daily

Weight Loss FoodsLiving free of the top 8 food allergens means you may not be able to take advantage of favorite low calorie foods that others enjoy.  Still, there are plenty of healthy food options available to you.  Here are three of the best hypoallergenic weight loss foods that you should be eating every day.

1. Leafy Greens

It’s no secret that vegetables are low in calories, but leafy greens are some of the most nutrient-dense lowest calorie foods around.  Kale, Spinach, Cabbage, and Romaine lettuce, just to name a few are easy to keep on hand and can be thrown together in different combinations for a fresh, healthy side at dinner time.  Fill your plate with salad before your meal, and you’ll most likely eat less of the higher-calorie main dish without even realizing it.

2. Raw, Whole Fruit
As opposed to fruit juice, whole fruit is full of fiber that helps you feel full and curb your appetite.  In addition, the natural sugars in fruit leave you feeling satisfied in a way that other desserts can’t.  Instead of dessert tonight, try a fresh fruit salad.  Keep things like oranges, apples, and bananas on hand for quick snacks between meals and mix in some seasonal fruit as well.  Remember to eat the skins of fruits like apples and pears because most of the filling fiber is found in the skin.

3. Potatoes

Potatoes may have more calories than other vegetables and fruit, but they are also more filling than bread, so you’ll eat less calories overall.  To mix things up, eat a variety of potatoes like russets, reds, Yukon Golds, and especially sweet potatoes.
