This glossy icing is perfect for little fingers to decorate sugar cookies! It’s firm enough, they can spread it with their fingers and even peel it off and start over if they want to keep decorating the same cookie over and over again.
Cinnamon Royal Icing (top 8 free, gluten free, vegan)
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 t. cinnamon extract
- 1 T. light corn syrup
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- food coloring (optional)
- Mix water, extract, and corn syrup until dissolved.
- Slowly add powdered sugar until well blended.
- Beat on high speed for 7 to 10 minutes until glossy, adding food coloring if desired.
